WTZ Korea-Austria

Surface generation via
integrable evolution of curves”

Principal Investigators:
Joseph Cho (Handong Global University)
Gudrun Szewieczek (Univ. of Innsbruck)

Project Description
This bilateral research project brings together senior and early-career researchers from Korea and Austria working in curve and surface theory. Central to all research questions in the project is the generation of geometric structures from lower-dimensional data and applications of this approach.
In particular, we investigate the interplay between integrable hierarchies of curves and surfaces, as well as Björling-type problems in Minkowski 3-space.
